STUDY OF THE INFLUENCE OF VARIOUS FACTORS ON THE THERMO-OXIDATIVE DEGRADATION PROCESS OF JM-380 GRADE POLYPROPYLENE
Main Article Content
Abstract
In this article, the influence of various factors - temperature, time, oxidizing medium, mixing speed, and the participation of stabilizers - on the thermooxodestruction process of JM-380 polypropylene was comprehensively studied. As a result, the following conditions were considered optimal for thermo-oxidative destruction of JM-380 polypropylene: temperature - 300 ± 10°C, processing time - 30-40 minutes, medium - oxygen atmosphere (≥15%). In the process of destruction carried out on the basis of these parameters, the molecular weight decreases by ~60%, the dispersity index is in the range of 1.8-2.2, and the appearance of functional groups is proven by IR spectroscopic analysis. As a result, the polymer-bitumen composition is highly homogeneous, elastic, and rheologically stable.
