Abstract

This work is a process of developing a gating system for sand-clay mold casting using advanced computer technology in the field of casting. In this study, advanced methods are used to create a part called "snail". This part is made of 300X32N2M2TL alloy, has excellent technological properties for the manufacture of shaped castings by gravity casting in a sand-clay mold. SolidWorks software is used to create 3D models of the part and the gating system according to the specified dimensions. Then the part will be imported into the Pro-CAST program for simulation. In this work, various time para meters were set as input data. The simulation results were analyzed and defects were identified. A new gating system was implemented to eliminate them. The process was repeated in the software, and the effectiveness was confirmed by the absence of defects.
