LAWS OF LOCATION AND FORECAST RESOURCES OF POLYMETAL ORNALIZATION AT THE KULCHULAK DEPOSIT
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article highlights the regularities of the distribution of polymetallic (lead-zinc) mineralization in the carbonate formations of the Kulchulak deposit, as well as the principles of assessing forecast resources. Mineralization is observed in Upper Famenic carbonate deposits and partially in Lower Carboniferous limestones. Ore bodies are mainly concentrated in brecciated, silicified, and skarn dolomites, the formation of which is associated with the circulation of hydrothermal solutions along weak zones. Dolomites enriched with organic substances are considered an important precipitating factor of lead and zinc sulfides from metal solutions. Also, the presence of sulfate rocks indicates favorable conditions for the syngenetic concentration of ore components. The obtained results serve as a scientific basis for identifying prospective blocks of the deposit and determining forecast resources.
