Publication Policy: Issue Size and Author Participation
Effective from issue 4(4) onwards
The editorial office of the scientific-technical journal “Digital Technologies in Industry” introduces the following publication policy to strengthen research quality, peer review and the transparency of editorial processes.
Number of articles per issue
From issue 4(4) onwards, the journal plans to publish an average of 25–30 research articles per issue. This is a planned publication volume, not a guarantee that every issue will contain exactly 30 articles. Issue content is assembled within the publication volume and page limits specified in the journal’s regulations.
One article per author in the same issue
From issue 4(4) onwards, each author may appear in only one article in a given issue. This rule applies equally to lead authors, corresponding authors and every co-author.
- A lead author of one article may not be a co-author of another article in the same issue.
- A co-author of one article may not appear as either a lead author or a co-author of another article in that issue.
- The rule applies individually to every person listed as an author. Changing the corresponding author or the author order does not remove this restriction.
Criteria for publication
Publication decisions are based on research quality, originality and relevance, methodological soundness, scientific and practical significance, compliance with the journal’s requirements and peer-review outcomes, rather than the order in which manuscripts are submitted. Limiting the number of articles does not replace editorial assessment or peer review.
Integrity of authorship
This rule operates alongside the Authorship and Contributorship Policy. The author list must reflect actual scholarly contributions. Removing a qualifying author or adding an ineligible author to circumvent the restriction is not acceptable.
Scope and application
These rules apply to articles published in issue 4(4) and subsequent issues. They do not require retrospective changes to the authorship or publication metadata of articles in earlier issues. Authors must identify all co-authors accurately when submitting a manuscript and take this policy into account.
Commitment to international quality standards
The planned issue size of 25–30 articles and the one-article-per-author rule are internal editorial policies of the journal, not direct numerical requirements imposed by Scopus. This policy does not imply that the journal is indexed in Scopus or guarantee future acceptance.
