Abstract

The study develops a multi-objective optimization model for industrial energy systems that simultaneously reduces energy consumption and operational risk. Safety is treated not as a fixed constraint but as an independent optimization criterion alongside energy consumption and operating costs. The functional structure of the system is formalized using the IDEF0 methodology and mathematical modeling. The NSGA-II algorithm is applied to generate the set of Pareto-optimal solutions, and the final solution is selected by the normalized weighted-sum method. A computational experiment on synthetic data (10 independent runs) showed a reduction in energy consumption of 25.2 ± 4.3% and in the risk level of 38.9 ± 9.4% compared with the conventional mode, while operating costs increased by 8.0%. Single-objective optimization achieved greater energy savings, but the risk level approached the permissible threshold. The scientific novelty lies in integrating energy efficiency and safety criteria within a unified adaptive optimization loop with feedback.
