STRUCTURAL AND LITHO-STRATIGRAPHIC FEATURES OF THE JURASSIC CARBONATE FORMATION OF THE BOYSUN FLEX

Abstract
This article analyzes in detail the geological structure of the Surkhandarya megasyncline and the features of Jurassic carbonate formations using the Boysun flexure as an example. The study provides information on the lithostratigraphic subdivision of the area, the tectonic structure, and prospective areas rich in oil and gas reserves, in particular the Gadjak field. It scientifically substantiates the relationship between subsalt layers and the rocks located above and below them. The article also presents descriptions of six separate formations belonging to the Jurassic period and comparative data on their thickness. Based on geophysical and drilling results, the possibilities for the formation of reef structures and hydrocarbon traps in the region are assessed.
