Abstract

This study is devoted to the investigation of the formation and development patterns of neotectonic processes in the Central Eurasian region. A comprehensive analysis of deformation processes was carried out based on the integration of geodynamic, geodetic, and tectonophysical data. Using GPS observations, surface velocity fields were determined, and deformation rates along with their gradients were evaluated. The study applies a hierarchical tectodynamic model, allowing neotectonic processes to be analyzed as a unified system at global, regional, and local scales. The results indicate that deformation is not limited to plate boundaries but also extends into their interiors, with particularly high intensity observed in the Himalaya–Tibet and Zagros regions. Seismic data analysis revealed a strong correlation between earthquake distribution and deformation zones. The findings contribute significantly to the advancement of geodynamic modeling and provide a systematic framework for studying neotectonic processes.
