TECHNOLOGICAL APPROACHES TO ENHANCING THE EFFICIENCY OF COPPER, LEAD, AND ZINC CONCENTRATE PRODUCTION AT THE KHONDIZA PROCESSING PLANT
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article highlights the technological processes of the Khondiza Processing Plant, the methods applied to enhance processing efficiency, and the reconstruction works carried out. The plant specializes in the beneficiation of polymetallic ores to produce copper, lead, and zinc concentrates, utilizing a multi-stage flotation technology. As a result of reconstruction works implemented between 2016 and 2018, the efficiency of technological processes improved, and the metal content in the concentrates was enhanced. In particular, the copper content in copper concentrates increased by 14.15%, while significant changes were observed in lead and zinc concentrates. The innovative technologies adopted at the plant have reduced metal losses in waste and improved product quality. This experience is of great importance to the mining and metallurgical industries, contributing to the development of advanced production technologies and processes.
